MeatSafari provides transaction controls designed to reduce fraud, payment disputes, and delivery problems. Protection depends on the transaction type, payment provider, seller, logistics service, and applicable terms. We connect buyers, sellers, farmers, wholesalers, businesses, service providers, and logistics partners — and make transactions safer through verification, order management, payment coordination, delivery confirmation, disputes, and audit trails.
MeatSafari does not take custody of customer funds as its own money, and we do not run an unregulated escrow wallet. Your payment is processed through our approved payment provider. Where a true regulated escrow or custodial arrangement is required, it will be built only with an appropriately authorized financial partner and according to applicable Nigerian law. Until that partner is connected, we show accurate language — “protected transaction”, “payment verified”, “settlement processing” — and never pretend we are holding your money.
You pay through the connected payment provider at checkout. MeatSafari verifies the payment server-side before the seller is told to prepare or ship.
MeatSafari coordinates the transaction. The payment provider handles the actual payment mechanics — MeatSafari does not hold your money as its own.
A structured flow from order creation through payment verification, seller confirmation, dispatch, delivery, and buyer confirmation of receipt.
Settlement to the seller is processed through the payment provider’s supported settlement or split capabilities — not by MeatSafari holding funds.
For eligible orders, you pay when the item arrives. The order is marked “payment on delivery — pending” until payment is actually verified at delivery.
No payment is recorded as completed until it is genuinely confirmed. Cash handling is minimized where the logistics arrangement makes it risky.
Which options you see at checkout depends on the product, seller, location, delivery method, amount, category, and owner configuration. You will only ever be offered options that are actually enabled for your transaction.
Where enabled, you receive a one-time code. The seller or logistics partner must enter it at delivery. The OTP is only valid for the correct order and is never shown in ordinary chat.
A QR code can represent a specific order or delivery. After an authenticated scan, the system verifies the order, confirms handover, and records delivery — no manual “I delivered” claim is enough.
Delivery evidence can include OTP, QR scan, buyer confirmation, signature, photo, timestamp, and logistics partner confirmation. Precise location history is not exposed unnecessarily.
Either party can open a dispute with a reason — item not received, wrong or missing item, damaged, quality, quantity, seller did not ship, delivery issue, payment issue, or other. Both sides can submit evidence (photos, documents, delivery proof, related chat). Every dispute has a chronological timeline. MeatSafari does not automatically assume the buyer or the seller is right, and AI never makes irreversible financial decisions on its own — human review handles high-risk cases.
MeatSafari earns marketplace commission, transaction service fees, logistics service fees, advertising, premium seller tools, business subscriptions, featured listings, and wholesale services. The seller or provider’s money is never counted as MeatSafari revenue. Customer funds, seller funds, pending provider settlements, and refundable amounts are kept separate from platform revenue. Where the payment provider supports split settlement, the platform fee and the seller’s share are routed through the provider’s own split or subaccount capabilities.
If anyone asks you to pay outside the approved MeatSafari flow — to a personal account, a different number, or via direct chat — treat it as a risk. Those payments may not qualify for platform protection. MeatSafari monitors transaction chats for attempts to move payment off platform and will warn you when it is detected.
Nothing on this page is a simulated capability. Where a protection depends on a connected payment provider, regulated escrow partner, or external service that is not yet connected, we say so honestly rather than pretending it exists. Every order, payment verification, delivery record, and dispute is backed by real system records — never a screenshot, a chat message, or a customer claim.
